Roasted Makhana Munchies
Lotus seed, phool makhana, or fox nuts is a light, quick and yummy snack. It is loaded with calcium, protein, and iron. Amrutam Desi cow ghee - 2 tbsp
Cashew Nuts - 1/4 cup (optional)
Makhana (fox nuts) - 1 cup
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat Amrutam pure desi ghee in a heavy based pan.
Roast cashew nuts.
Add the makhana.
Sprinkle salt and pepper.
Stir quickly and take it off the flame.
Store in an airtight container to keep the crunchiness intact for long.
Sprinkle a little chilli powder to add a little spiciness to the dish.
