Grilled Cottage Cheese (Paneer) Steak is everyone's favourite. It blends in the spiciness, sourness, and the aroma is just...wow! Of course, there's all of that and more nutrition. It's a burst of flavours you do not want to miss. And if you're on a Keto diet, this recipe will work for you.
200 gms slab of paneer
1 cup curd
1/2 tsp salt or rock salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp amchur or juice of half a lemon
2 tbsp of Amrutam ghee, melted
It’s prep time!
Cut the paneer slice horizontally about ½ inch thick.
Mix in the ingredients, massage the cottage cheese with the marinade and let it rest for about an hour.
Heat a Grill. Take your marinated paneer slices.
Grill on both the sides till light brown or slightly charred.
While grilling, with a basting brush plaster the slices with melted ghee on both sides.
Take the slices out from the grill.
Drizzle with some barbecue sauce and enjoy the burst of flavours!
You can grill the slices in a pan as well.
You can replace amchur powder with ½ tsp of lemon juice.
If no Barbeque sauce, replace it with the sauce of your choice.
You can serve the paneer slices with a side of grilled bell peppers or veggies that you like. Just throw them in with the paneer, coat with melted ghee and grill till slightly charred.
You can also pair it with some rice cooked in herbs like coriander leaves, mint, etc in a tsp of ghee.
